Ia mengatakan, jurnalis tetap tidak dapat mengetahui ada apa di dalam air, kandungan air, dan bakteri pada air banjir. Hal ini bisa membahayakan jurnalis itu sendiri.
Belum lagi jurnalis yang membawa alat peliputan yang bisa saja menjadi konselet jika terkena air. Dampaknya, sang jurnalis atau cameraman bisa tersengat listrik.

SS Sandy... you never do this... you have NO idea what’s in the water, chemicals, bacteria, animals . Another thing an amazing #nyc firefighter once told me... when u walk in water like this that u can’t see, if a manhole cover is missing and u step in that hole, game over. Water can be electrified and you don’t know. Those who have seen my work , know I’m passionate about what I do, think outside the box and try to come up w unique ways to tells stories with safety in mind. I applaud his desire to get the story, just not how he went about it. In this age of “going viral” just worried some maybe doing things that put them in danger #notworthit”
